Note: the West Indies is not a country. The West Indies cricket team is a combined team representing several Caribbean island nations and Guyana, and it competes against teams from other countries.

Note: in cricket terms, the United Kingdom and Great Britain do not exist. Cricket in the British Isles is governed, organised and internationally represented on the basis of England and Wales combined; Scotland; and Ireland comprising Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Cricketers are designated English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh – never British.

Note: formerly, several African countries were represented by the combined teams of East Africa, East and Central Africa and West Africa.
