Chimalli
The Chīmalli or Aztec shield (Nahuatl pronunciation: [t͡ʃiːˈmalːi] ; "shield") was the traditional defensive armament of the indigenous states of Mesoamerica. These shields varied in design and purpose. The Chīmalli was also used while wearing special headgear.
