The 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament was the national championship tournament for men's college ice hockey in the United States held from March 28-April 13, 2024. The tournament involved 16 teams in single-elimination play to determine the national champion at the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the highest level of competition in college hockey. The tournament's Frozen Four—the semifinals and finals—were hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.[1]

The 2024 Frozen Four was the first Frozen Four held in the state of Minnesota without a team from Minnesota since 1991. It was also the first Frozen Four held in Minnesota to not have the national champion be from Minnesota since 1994.

The tournament is composed of four groups of four teams in regional brackets. The four regionals are officially named after their geographic areas. The following are the sites for the 2024 regionals:[1]

Qualifying teams

The at-large bids and seeding for each team in the tournament were announced on March 24, 2024, on ESPNU at 6:30 pm ET.[2]

The Big Ten, Hockey East and NCHC each received four bids to the tournament. ECAC received two while Atlantic Hockey and the CCHA both received one berth.[3]

ESPN had US television rights to all games during the tournament for the nineteenth consecutive year.[4][5] ESPN will air every game, beginning with the regionals, on ESPN2, ESPNews, or ESPNU. Additionally all matches will be streamed online via the ESPN app.
