The 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup (Arabic: كأس العالم للسيدات تحت 17 سنة المغرب 2025) (French: Coupe du Monde Féminine U-17 de la FIFA Maroc 2025) will be the 9th edition of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, the international women's youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It will be hosted by Morocco. It will be the first time the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup to be held in Africa and the second Arab country to host it after Jordan in 2016. It will also be the first edition to feature 24 teams and played annually.[1]

Host selection

Morocco was announced as the 2025-2029 Women's U-17 World Cup hosts following the FIFA Council meeting on 14 March 2024 in Zürich, Switzerland.

Qualified teams

A total of 24 teams qualify for the final tournament. In addition to Morocco who qualified automatically as hosts, the other 23 teams qualify from six separate continental competitions.

    Draw

    The official draw will take place in Early 2025. The teams were allocated based on their performances in the 5 previous U-17 Women's World Cups, five bonus points are added to each of the confederation's current champions that won the respective qualifying tournament (for this cycle). The hosts Morocco are automatically seeded and assigned to position A1. Teams of the same confederation will not meet in the group stage.

    Ranking of third-placed teams

    The four best third-placed teams from the six groups advance to the knockout stage along with the six group winners and six runners-up.

    Knockout stage

    In the knockout stage, if a match is level at the end of normal playing time, extra time shall be played (two periods of five minutes each) and followed, if necessary, by a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner. However, for the third place match, if it is played directly before the final, no extra time shall be played and the winner shall be determined by a penalty shoot-out.
