Rural district in East Azerbaijan province, Iran


Arzil Rural District (Persian: دهستان ارزيل)[3] is in Kharvana District of Varzaqan County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Arzil.[5]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 4,296 in 1,073 households.[6] There were 4,060 inhabitants in 1,160 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,855 in 1,550 households. The most populous of its 16 villages was Andergan, with 1,162 people.[2]
