Nishi Biwajima Station is served by the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line, and is located 71.6 kilometers from the starting point of the line at Toyohashi.

The station has two unnumbered island platforms connected by a level crossing. The station has automated ticket machines, Manaca automated turnstiles and is unattended.

Nishi Biwajima Station was opened on January 23, 1914.^[1] The station was closed in 1944 due to World War II, and was reopened on August 1, 1944.

In fiscal 2013, the station was used by an average of 830 passengers daily.
