The CICERO Center for International Climate Research (abbreviated CICERO; Norwegian: CICERO Senter for klimaforskning) is an interdisciplinary research centre for climate research and environmental science/environmental studies in Oslo. CICERO was established by the Government of Norway in 1990. It is organised as an independent foundation and is affiliated with the University of Oslo. The current director is Kristin Halvorsen, former Minister of Finance.^[1]

CICERO has a national role in promoting knowledge about climate change and is internationally recognized as a driving force for innovative climate communication. Research director at CICERO, Jan S. Fuglestvedt is vice chair for one of the IPCCs working groups. He has contributed as a team player to increasing the IPCC’s cross-disciplinary work for several years.
