Section 1(1) of, and Group 3 of Part VII of Schedule 1 to, the Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1989 repealed:

  • Sections 4 and 6
  • Section 7 from "and also" to "for ever"
  • Sections 8, 9 and 11
  • Section 12 so far as it related to assurances for enfranchisement
  • Section 13 from "or by the enfranchisement" to "hereditaments"

    The citation of this Act by this short title was authorised by section 5 of, and Schedule 2 to, the Statute Law Revision Act 1948. Due to the repeal of those provisions, it is now authorised by section 19(2) of the Interpretation Act 1978.
