English: An abandoned farmhouse hidden among the trees and greenery that have overtaken it. At least one barn was also located on this hidden property, set far back from the road beside its long driveway. Though I am not a historian, this house is of a similar vernacular to other local houses that date from the 1820s to the 1850s. The farmstead is long abandoned but the fields around it are very much active, exemplary of the effects of intensive farming leading to rural decay. Seneca , the town it is located at, saw a population loss of nearly 70% between 1870 and 1880.
