| Description |
Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Congressional Delegation in Qatar on May 8th. The Members visited the commanders and service members stationed at the Al Udeid Air Base outside of Doha. Qatar serves as a base for U.S. CENTCOM Forward Headquarters, which oversees military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Speaker Pelosi is joined by Susan Davis of California, Chair of the Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel; Madeleine Bordallo of Guam, Member of the Armed Services Committee; Niki Tsongas of Massachusetts, Member of the Armed Services Committee; and Donna Edwards of Maryland, Member of the Science and Technology Committee. |
