An oval oil on canvas depiction of Alexander Brodie, the 19th Laird and Lord Lyon. Alexander has been depicted in half length and in his in robes of office.; " Alexander Brodie, 19th of Brodie was born on 17 August 1697. He was the son of George Brodie, 17th of Brodie and Emilia Brodie. He married Mary Sleigh on 3 September 1724. He died on 9 March 1754 at age 56. He held the position of 19th Chief of Clan Brodie in 1720. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.). He held the office of Lord Lyon King of Arms between 1727 and 1754." (Peerage)
