. This data counts those who disappeared from the statistical record between 1915 and 1917, with 100% of Armenians accounted for in white, 100% disappeared in black. Some Armenians from Van and Erzurum were able to survive until Russian liberation or escape to Russian- or Persian-held territory. Those who were Islamized are also counted as missing in these statistics. Figures for Constantinople based on Akçam 2012 pp. 399–406; figures for Edirne based on Kévorkian 2011 (search "Edirne").
