Boeing B-17E 41-9122 (Eager Beavers), 11th Bomb Group, 42d Bomb Squadron, taxiing on 2 engines at Henderson Field, Guadalcanal. Captain Frank L. Houx and his crew were lost on 1 February 1943 along with two other 42nd B-17Es: 41-9151 (Captain Earl O. Hall) and 41-2442 "Yokohama Express" (Captain Harold P. Hensley). These were the last three B-17s of the 42nd BS.
