English: British Indian Army Sikh Pioneers building a new road on the most difficult section of the Ladder of Tyre in September/October 1918 during the pursuit of the Ottoman Yildirim Army. "The Sappers and Miners and 121st Pioneers of the 7th (Meerut) Division, assisted by infantry, working continuously for 2 days, made the 'Ladder of Tyre' fit for armoured cars, lorries and 60 pounder guns."
