Summary
Description Buenos Aires - Wikimedia 2009 - Foto grupal Wikipedia en español.jpg |
English:
Group photo of Spanish-speaking Wikipedians (and other friends on occasion) at the Obelisco of Buenos Aires, during Wikimania 2009.
Group photo of Spanish-speaking Wikipedians (and other friends on occasion) in the Obelisco of Buenos Aires, Argentina, during Wikimania 2009. It should be noted that a family photo shows the participants of a family reunion, especially when it includes people from various generations (children, parents, uncles, grandparents, etc). This concept also applies to a photograph that captures the participants of a certain meeting in a previously established date and place, whatever the objective and theme of the meeting (political, technical, union, professional, social, etc.). This kind of photos allows to protect the memory of the meeting in terms of the passage of time, since it usually portrays all or most of the attendees; in many cases, this image is complemented with additional textual information, such as date, names of participants and other comments of interest.

Argentina has no "freedom of panorama" provision in its copyright law. At least some think there is de facto freedom of panorama in Argentina regarding buildings:
It is uncontroversially accepted that buildings can be reproduced by paintings or photographs, without this reproduction infringing copyright.
