. The locomotive was built in Canada in 1908 for the Canadian Northern Railway, and was later owned by the Canadian National Railways. During World War II, it was exported from Canada to Australia. It entered service with the Commonwealth Railways in February 1943 and was officially withdrawn in April 1952.
