Acoblat darrere l'escut, de la punta en penja l'Orde Nacional del Lleó, la màxima condecoració del Senegal. Per timbre, una estrella de cinc puntes de sinople.
English: Arms: Parted per pale, the first Gules a lion rampant Or, the second Or, a baobab-tree proper and in base a fess wavy Vert. Crest: A five-pointed star Vert. Order: The star of the Ordre National du Lion Motto: UN PEUPLE • UN BUT • UNE FOI on a white ribbon Garland: Two palm-leaves Argent.
Français : Écu : Parti, au I, de gueules au lion d'or et au II, d'or au baobab arraché au naturel et à la fasce ondée et abaissée de sinople.

Timbre : Une étoile de sinople.
Supports : Deux palmes, un listel d'argent enroulé sur les palmes et portant la devise en lettres de sable.

Lo scudo circondato da due rami di palma d'argento passate in decusse e che portano una lista d'argento con il motto nazionale in francese: UN PEUPLE • UN BUT • UNE FOI. Accollato alla punta dello scudo un nastro riportante l'Ordine nazionale del Leone, massima onorificenza del Senegal. Lo scudo timbrato da una stella di verde.
