Description

Two dead Japanese soldiers in a water filled shell hole somewhere in New Guinea.

Also published in the March 14th, 1943 issue of "Yank, The Army Weekly" magazine with the caption "Deep in the jungles of new Guinea rest the bodies of Japanese who have sampled the effectiveness of the attacking Americans. One of the Yanks is dramatically mirrored in the water as he marches by."
