Description

The festival also celebrates food. Hundreds of different types of sweets, desserts and seasonal foods are prepared. On the night of Diwali people dress up in new or their best clothes, then visit friends and families, exchanging sweets and sharing food with each other.

Above is a small sample of sweets (mithai) to celebrate Diwali.
