Electricity.NZ.Manapouri.Tide.png

This graph image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file . This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{ vector version available | new image name }} .

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Electricity.NZ.Manapouri.Tide.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva ) does not need the new image name parameter.

Summary

Description
English: Plot of half-hourly electricity generation at Manapouri with the tide height at Deep Cove (tailrace outlet) over June 1999, showing peak generation aligning with low tide (and vice-versa) as these times cycle around the day, thus not following the normal 24-hour cycle of electricity usage. Generation below 560MW is ignored, and the tide height has 562 added to ease comparison.
