Kala Patthar
(5700 m) auf die Gipfel-Pyramide des Mount Everest (zirka obere 1500 Höhenmeter) von Westen. Deutlich erkennbar ist das Gelbe Band im oberen Teil. Darunter lagern die dunklen Schiefer der North-Col-Formation. Oberhalb des Gelben Bandes ist in relativ hellem Grau der Kalkstein der Qomolangma-Formation identifizierbar.

(5700 m) sur la pyramide du sommet du
Mont Everest
(environ 1500 mètres d'altitude) depuis l'ouest. On distingue clairement la bande jaune dans la partie supérieure. En dessous se trouvent les schistes sombres de la formation North Col. Au-dessus de la bande jaune, le calcaire de la formation Qomolangma est identifiable en gris relativement clair.
