On that website, a post by Jordi Perez Ibañez dated 17 November 2006 describes the presidental standard of Tajikistan based on a Russian-language description at president.tj ( archived version from 2007). According to that site, a las "on the symbols of the President of Republic Tajikistan" had been passed in July 2006, and the flag had first been used on 18 November 2006 at the inauguration of Emomali Rahmon as head of state. The standard is based on the tricolour of the national flag, decorated with a golden threads on the fringe and measuring 2m x 1m. The symbol is a depiction of the ' Derafsh Kaviani , the Sasanian royal standard.
