Summary

Description
English: H000104 Cape of netted fibre and feathers, collected from Hawaii in 1778 during Cook's third voyage to the Pacific. This one is unusual in its use of the long tail feathers of red and white tropical birds and black cock feathers. At least 30 feathered cloaks and capes were collected. On the occasion of Cook's official welcome by Kalani'opu'u, six or seven cloaks and other feather items were presented to him.
