KarTrak_ACI_codes.svg

Summary

Description
English: KarTrak codes used in the 1960's and 1970's to create barcodes to automatically identify railroad equipment in North America. Each of the 13 'bars' above was an individual label that would be affixed to a black metal plate mounted on a railroad car, to form a complete barcode.

Note: This file shows a collection of all possible labels used to form a complete barcode. It does not depict an example of a complete barcode; as it would have appeared on a rail car. For a diagram showing a complte barcode, as it would have appeared on a railroad car, see File:Diagram Of a KarTrak ACI Plate.svg .
