Le pavillon de la Roumanie est totalement vide, il ne renferme aucune œuvre matérielle Le choix a été d'organiser une rétrospective immatérielle de la Biennale de Venise en faisant jouer à des comédiens (performeurs) des scènes évoquant des œuvres d'art qui y ont été présentées.
