Tomás López (1730-1802) fue un cartógrafo español que fue enviado por el gobierno español a París durante unos años para aprender cartografía y grabado con el gran cartógrafo francés Jean Baptiste Bourguignon d'Anville (1697-1782). En 1804, López publicó su Atlas Geográfico de España , el primer atlas de España que se produjo por un español. Los hijos de López volvieron a publicar este trabajo en una nueva edición en 1810, y nuevamente en 1830.

Tomás López (1730-1802) foi um cartógrafo espanhol enviado a Paris pelo governo espanhol durante alguns anos, para aprender cartografia e gravura com o grande cartógrafo francês Jean Baptiste Bourguignon d'Anville (1697-1782). Em 1804, López publicou seu Atlas Geográfico de España (Atlas Geográfico da Espanha), o primeiro atlas da Espanha produzido por um espanhol. Os filhos de López republicaram este trabalho em uma nova edição, em 1810 e novamente, em 1830.
English:
Tomás López (1730-1802) was a Spanish cartographer who was sent by the Spanish government to Paris for a number of years to learn cartography and engraving from the great French mapmaker Jean Baptiste Bourguignon d’Anville (1697-1782). In 1804, López published his Atlas Geográfico de España (Geographical atlas of Spain), the first atlas of Spain produced by a Spaniard. López’s children republished this work in a new edition in 1810, and again in 1830.
