Summary
Description Mircea Diaconu - Romanian part- Citizens’ Corner debate on farewell to roaming (30844497136).jpg |
Roaming was supposed to be the big flagship policy which Europe’s citizens could easily understand. The ship, however, ran aground and had to be refloated with a little less ballast. Europe’s member states have not been unified on what ‘roam like at home’ should look like – countries such as Spain, with large telecoms industries, favoured higher data charges, the European Parliament favoured much lower rates. It was a case of ‘call back later.' The European Commission got the message and tried to repackage the roaming deal. To discuss Europe’s telecoms roaming market, its financial and political impact, Euranet Plus and Radio România, public service, a member of the Euranet Plus network, hosted a live radio debate in the European Parliament. The debate was held in Romanian, and then in English. Get all the details: euranetplus-inside.eu/citizens-corner-debate-on-roaming-f...
