Mort de Saint Louis:
Le 25 août 1270, Saint Louis meurt sous sa tente fleurdelisée, devant la ville de Tunis.

Bataille de Tunis en 1270 (en arrière-plan):
La flotte de Charles d'Anjou, frère de Saint Louis, arrive dans la baie de Tunis. Ces renforts permettront à l'armée du roi de France, commandée par Charles d'Anjou, de remporter la victoire sur les sarrasins devant la ville de Tunis le 4 septembre 1270.
