Español: Piñata , olla o maceta de barro o de cartón, o una estructura de alambre adornada con papel de colores y generalmente con 7 picos, que en su interior contiene frutas, dulces, y otros premios. Las piñatas se cuelgan de una cuerda a lo alto para ser rotas con un palo o garrote por alguien, y que al romperse libera su contenido sobre los participantes en el juego. Las piñatas con frecuencia se asocian con México y constituyen un elemento central de los cumpleaños y otros eventos festivos de celebración como por ejemplo la Navidad .
English: Piñata , clay or cardboard pot, or a wire frame decorated with colored paper and usually with 7 spikes, which inside contains fruits, sweets, and other prizes. The piñatas are hung from a rope at the top to be broken with a stick or club by someone, and when they break, their content is released on the participants in the game. Piñatas are often associated with Mexico and are a central element of birthdays and other festive celebratory events such as Christmas.
