Summary
Description Paraglider at Cochrane Hill, AB, Canada.jpg |
English:
Paraglider at Cochrane Hill, AB, Canada. An
APCO
Starlite 26 canopy, being flown by Glen for a
photo op
of the photographer's rig at the Muller Windsports site above
Cochrane, Alberta
. Strictly an
ascending parachute
(not a term used by the paragliding community), it is conceptually more like today's ram-air sport parachutes (i.e.
descending parachutes
) than any mid-1970s-and-earlier sport parachuting devices, or even modern 'round' canopies designed for say, the aerospace industry.
