  • Scope and content: The full caption for this photograph reads: Poston, Arizona. Registered nurse, Mrs. Edythe Sasser, is assisited by Yoshiko Konatsu, nurse's aid, and Tomiko Kitasaki, nurse's aid, in the treatment of infantile paralysis. All patients suffering from this dread disease are treated by the Kenny method. Hot packs are applied to the stricken limbs and this is followed by muscular and nervous reeducation.
