Royal New Zealand Airforce
photographed in the RNZAF Museum at Wigram by the author. The RNZAF used small numbers of Avengers in action against the Japannese during World War II. The Avenger was used by 4 RNZAF Squadrons. After the war this aircraft took part in
Aerial Topdressing
trials. Restored in WWII colours, it was one of the first exhibits in the RNZAF Museum.
