Caption: "This plaque commemorates the 7 RRFC players who volunteered and joined the 16th Royal Scots McCrae's Battalion in 1914. J. Todd, J. Scott, G. McLay gave their lives in action." Pictured are, standing: James Todd, James W.M. Gourlay; sitting: George McLay, William Lavery, James Scott, James H. Logan. Willie Porter and Jock Rattray who also joined the battalion are not pictured. Gourlay is apparently in a different unit, the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry (supported by https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/7662894 ).
