English: Stairhaven broch - intramural stairs There are only a handful of iron age brochs south of the Highland line, and three of them are in Wigtownshire - Ardwell Bay on the Mull of Galloway peninsula,Teroy near Cairnryan, and here at Stairhaven. They are all on or near the coast.
