Summary
Description Statue of Foundation of Tenochtitlan.jpg |
English:
This is a statue representing the time when the Aztecs identified the signal given to them by their God, according to their own history. Their mythology said that in the place where they will discover an eagle standing on a nopal (a cactus plant from Mexico) they should create their city. They did that, so they founded the great city of Tenochtitlan. This statue is just about 50 meters from the main block in Mexico City (called the "Zocalo").
