English: PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 22, 2010) Aviation Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Max Torres, from Houston, uses a chop saw to cut through a worn arresting cable in preparation for the installation of a new one aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). George Washington, the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier is underway helping to ensure security and stability in the western Pacific Ocean.
