Kunstgewerbeschulbaus
(heute
"Van-de-Velde-Bau"
genannt), hinter den Fenstern im 1.OG lag das Büro des belgischen Architekten
Henry van de Velde
, nach dessen Entwurf das Gebäude 1905-1906 für die
"Großherzoglich-Sächsische Kunstgewerbeschule Weimar"
errichtet und zwischen 1919 und 1925 vom
"Staatlichen Bauhaus zu Weimar"
genutzt wurde. Heute ist das Gebäude Sitz der Fakultät Gestaltung der
"Bauhaus-Universität Weimar"
und gehört seit 1996 zum
Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO
. Geschwister-Scholl-Straße 7, Weimar/Thüringen.
