Summary

Description
English: Construction continues on Enric Miralles ' elaborate new complex for the seat of the Scottish Parliament in Holyrood park (opposite Holyrood Palace , and below Arthur's Seat ). The spikey white building to the left is not part of the parliament - it is "Our Dynamic Earth", a science exhibition space. Above the new parliament, half-way up the Calton Hill behind it, is the neoclassical Old Royal High School , which was prepared for a previous devolved Scottish parliament, but never used. On top of the Calton Hill are several monuments, including the squat, naval-rigged tower, a monument to Horatio Nelson . Photo taken by Finlay McWalter on 7th August 2004 from part-way up Arthur's Seat.
