In the greeting, the hand is put forth, like in other fascistic movements. The organisation was founded by Alparslan Türkeş, the "big leader" (Başbuğ).

), Ülkücü (=Idealisten)-Bewegung, die in anderen Staaten ebenfalls Organisationen hat, wie z.B. in Deutschland die so genannte "Türk Federasyon" bzw. "Föderation der türkisch-demokratischen Idealistenvereine in Deutschland" (Almanya Demokratik Ülkücü Türk Dernekleri Federasyonu), kurz ADÜTDF.
Er wird an ausgestrecktem Arm erboten, was eine Ähnlichkeit zu anderen faschistischen, rechtsextremistischen Organisationen darstellt und stellt einen stilisierten Wolfskopf dar: Die abgespreizten Finger sind die Ohren, die anderen Finger bilden die Schnauze. Mysthische Vereehrung findet der verstorbene Gründer Alparslan Türkeş, der als Başbuğ verehrt wird.
