International figure skating competition

The Grand Prix of Finland (also known in some years as the Grand Prix of Helsinki or the Grand Prix of Espoo) is an annual international figure skating competition held as part of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. It is organized by the Finnish Figure Skating Association. The competition was first held in 2018 in Helsinki as a replacement for the then cancelled Cup of China.[1] Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance.

Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent ban of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international figure skating competitions, the annually-held Rostelecom Cup was cancelled.[2][3] As such, the Grand Prix of Finland returned in 2022 (called the Grand Prix of Espoo) to serve as a replacement for the Rostelecom Cup.[4]
