The Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Голова Служби безпеки України) serves as the director of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the internal security agency of the Ukrainian government. The head of the Security Service of Ukraine is ex officio a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, and is appointed or dismissed by the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's national parliament) on proposition of the President of Ukraine.
