Add info on mobile page history

I was trying to find out how to see the mobile page history from an iPhone but so far I haven’t found a way. It would be great if this info is added to this help article.Thinker78 (talk) 16:39, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

Select "Use desktop site" in your browser. Cranloa12n / talk / contribs / 19:13, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

I do not use Safari as my browser, previously it was Chrome, now it is Firefox. This option is not available for my on Firefox. Can this issue be elevated to the UX team? This seems like a bug not to be able to have the history available to users on mobile. Altonbr (talk) 05:03, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

I came here also trying to figure out why the page history link disappeared from the mobile site. I tested on Android with Firefox and Opera. Cheesycow5 (talk) 20:28, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
I see now that page history is only missing if logged out. Cheesycow5 (talk) 20:41, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
I have added a "Mobile version" section. Click "Last edited" near the bottom. PrimeHunter (talk) 02:05, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 7 September 2022

Please delete all the other images and leave only the Betika Logo with the yellow background. Aliceinwonderlandm (talk) 08:33, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

Aliceinwonderlandm, could you clarify what you had in mind? This is the talk page of Help:Page history, and there are no Betika logos here that I can see. Uanfala (talk) 08:35, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
@Aliceinwonderlandm: Our article Betika only displays the logo you want.
Are you by any chance referring to a photo or text shown to the right of a Google search? Google's Knowledge Graph uses a wide variety of sources. There may be a text paragraph ending with "Wikipedia" to indicate that particular text was copied from Wikipedia. An image and other text before or after the Wikipedia excerpt may be from sources completely unrelated to Wikipedia. We have no control over how Google presents our information, but Google's Knowledge Graph has a "Feedback" link where anyone can mark a field as wrong. The same feedback facility is also provided on Bing and some other search engines. PrimeHunter (talk) 13:54, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

Revisions showing tomorrow's date

I notice that some edits are showing that they were made on tomorrows date. For example, I made an edit on April 8th, but the revission says is was made on April 9th. Why is this?  Preceding unsigned comment added by Trimetwes fan1003 (talkcontribs) 03:21, 9 April 2023 (UTC)

Helping advice

I think after you get to the end of a page it should be a button to go back to the top like on other sites Notonmyphone (talk) 19:37, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 23 September 2023

My entry of today was deleted for not being constructive. No specific objections were mentioned. As if knowing they could not defend the edit, the deleter then restricted further edits to the page.

The public perception of aether theory is demonstrably wrong. That is partly because many -- but far from all -- physicists make public comments that profoundly misrepresent the history of aether theory and the uses to which it was put.

Richard Feynman once wrote that whenever a physicist speaks of the history of science they get the history wrong.

It is detrimental for the public to not appreciate the strengths of aether theory, as well as its shortcomings. At the time, Clerk Maxwell's unification of light with electromagnetism was seen as evidence for a mechanical aether.

Also worth noting is how aether theory changed with the discovery of the electron. The aether was modified to become quasi-mechanical.

J.J. Thomson [pardon spelling if incorrect], one of the discoverers of the electron, was well-schooled in aether theory. It contributed to his study of the electron.

To paraphrase Isaac Asimov, a theory does not have to be completely correct to be useful. It has to be correct enough FOR ITS TIME. Eaglehawkii (talk) 19:26, 23 September 2023 (UTC)

Not done: this is the talk page for discussing improvements to the page Help:Page history. Please make your request at the talk page for the article concerned. In addition, from what I can tell Luminiferous aether, the article that you edited and that this request is for, is in fact not protected. However, I would strongly recommend you read Wikipedia's policy on original research, especially considering that no part of your edit was supported by reliable sources. Also consider that adding that much text to the lead section of the article is likely undue.  BelowTheSun  (TC) 19:47, 23 September 2023 (UTC)

Request to add Gaza's nation-state backers back into the article template/change the template

There was an edit made the day before yesterday removing all supporters of the respective conflicts in the infobox requesting a change be made to the template, I second this request. --DC Ambrose (talk) 01:32, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
