The Hong Kong Medical Association (The HKMA; Chinese: 香港醫學會), is a doctors’ association in Hong Kong. Established in 1920 as the Hong Kong Chinese Medical Association, it underwent a name change in 1970 to become The Hong Kong Medical Association.^[1]

To bring together medical practitioners practicing in Hong Kong with the aim of articulating the industry's perspectives, fostering the development of the medical profession, and striving towards the vision of "Safeguarding the Health of the People".^[2]

• The Association is governed by a Council. All Council Members are elected by a vote of the full HKMA membership
• The HKMA nominates members to participate in the affairs of various regulatory bodies, government departments, healthcare organisations, statutory and non-statutory institutions
• The HKMA consists of approximately 30 standing committees and ad hoc committees to assist the Council in overseeing and implementing initiatives pertaining to medical professionalism, member services, and public health education^[3]
