Insight Partners (previously Insight Venture Partners) is a global venture capital and private equity firm that invests in high-growth technology, software, and Internet businesses.[4][5] The company is headquartered in New York City, with offices in London, Tel Aviv, and Palo Alto.[6][7][8]

History

Insight Partners was founded in 1995 by Jeff Horing and Jerry Murdock.[10][11][12] As of December 31, 2022, the firm has over $75 billion in regulatory assets under management. Insight Partners has invested in more than 750 companies worldwide and has seen over 55 portfolio companies achieve an IPO.[3] The firm has an in-house team called Onsite that assists portfolio companies in their growth.[13]

In April 2021, Insight Partners raised $1.56 billion for the Insight Partners Opportunities Fund I LP, a separate fund from its primary growth-investment vehicles.[14] Also in 2021, Insight Partners put $15 million of its capital into a new fund, The Vision Capital 2020 LP Fund, which supports minority-led firms raising early-stage funds.[15] In February 2022, the company announced that it had raised $20 billion for its twelfth flagship fund, more than doubling the size of its previous flagship fund.[16][17] In July 2022, Insight Partners established the Enterprise Technology Exchange (ETX), an advisory group responsible for helping emerging IT companies navigate uncertain markets.[18]

  • OneTrust, with participation in Series A, B, and C funding rounds, valuing the company at $5.1 billion in 2020.[22]
  • nCino, leading Series B and C funding rounds in 2014 and 2015, with the company going public in 2020.[23]
  • Veeam, a data management company acquired for $5 billion in 2020.[24]
  • Wiz, a cloud security company, in 2020.[25][26]
  • JFrog, a software startup, backing its IPO in 2020, followed by 1stdibs' IPO in 2021.[27][28]
  • Diligent Corporation's initiative, pledging to create five new board roles among its portfolio companies for racially diverse candidates in 2020.[29]
  • Kaseya
  • Monday.com and WalkMe, holding a 43% stake in Monday.com and a 32% stake in WalkMe as of June 2021, with a combined ownership value of $3.9 billion.[28][30]
  • Saks.com, taking a minority stake worth $500 million in 2021.[31]
  • Clarify Health, participating in the company's Series D funding round after leading its Series C round.[32]
  • Semperis, a cybersecurity company, increasing its previous investment as part of a $200 million funding round led by KKR in May 2022.[33]
  • Jasper, an AI content platform, leading its latest funding round in October 2022.[34]
  • Exclaimer, an email signature management platform, taking a majority stake investing over $133 million with participation from Farview Equity Partners and existing investor Livingbridge[35]
