Jay Gonzalez

Juan Manuel "Jay" Gonzalez[1][2][3][4] (born January 8, 1971) is an American politician who served as Secretary of Administration and Finance of Massachusetts under Governor Deval Patrick from 2009 to 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, he was the nominee for Governor of Massachusetts in 2018.[5][6]

Gonzalez was appointed to his secretary position after the resignation of Leslie Kirwan in the fall of 2009.[7] He was succeeded by Glen Shor in January 2013. Before working as a government official, Gonzalez was an attorney at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge in Boston.[5] He attended Dartmouth College and Georgetown University Law Center.
