John Bennett Gillingham (born 3 August 1940)^[1] is Emeritus Professor of Medieval History at the London School of Economics and Political Science.^[2] On 19 July 2007 he was elected a Fellow of the British Academy.^[3]

Gillingham is renowned as an expert on the Angevin Empire.^[4]
