Klagenfurt
Klagenfurt am Wörthersee[3] (German: [ˌklaːɡn̩fʊʁt ʔam ˈvœʁtɐzeː] (listen); Austro-Bavarian: Klognfuat; Slovene: Celovec),[4] usually known as just Klagenfurt (English: /ˈklɑːɡənfʊərt/ KLAH-gən-foort),[5] is the capital of the state of Carinthia in Austria. With a population of 103.009 (1 January 2022), it is the sixth-largest city in the country. The city is the bishop's seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt and home to the University of Klagenfurt, the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences and the Gustav Mahler University of Music.
