Redevelopment

In September 2022, Landsec, the owner of the shopping centre announced their intentions in redeveloping the site with plans including new homes, new community spaces and a new high street.

In November 2023, initial proposals for the redevelopment were revealed with Studio Egret West chosen as the main architect behind the project. Main elements of the redevelopment include:[6]

  • Over 1,700 new homes.
  • New community spaces, a performance hub and event squares.
  • A new green meadow park stretching through the middle of the site.

Landsec hopes to initiate work in early 2026 with an estimated completion of the whole project in the late 2030s.[7][8]
