In January 1988 Turner set a Guinness World Record "for the largest paying rock concert attendance for a solo artist" by performing in front of approximately 180,000 people at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,[4][5][6] which remained until 1997.[7] Some sources claim that she's also listed in the Guinness Book of Records for selling more concert tickets than any solo performer in history.[8][9][quantify][better source needed]
