There are 4 Christian churches in India that follow the Oriental Orthodox tradition. All of them are based primarily in the state of Kerala. They are:

  • Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, An autocephalous Oriental Orthodox church mainly found in southern state of Kerala. They are the largest Oriental Orthodox church by adherents in India
  • Malankara Knanaya Jacobite Syrian Orthodox archdiocese, or Knanaya Syrian archdiocese, an arch diocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church in India, an autonomous Oriental Orthodox diocese under the Archbishop of Knanaya Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Christians.
  • Armenian Apostolic Church, an autocephalous Oriental Orthodox Church under the Catholicose of All Armenians scattered around many major cities in India, mainly concentrated in Kolkata, West Bengal.
